Mr. H.C. Bass begins by briefly discussing the history of architecture. He explains the basic elements for architecture as well as the four major styles of contemporary architecture. Mr. Bass states that the actual church building must be made a spiritual experience for both the building committee as well as the entire church. He goes on to discuss proper placement of certain utilities such as lighting, heat, and water pipes in the buildings and how important it is to the planning and future of the building. He closes by saying We must build the best symbol today that we know so that the children of tomorrow will recognize that we put our best into these church buildings.
